Yellowstone Park is the cornerstone of the American National Park System.
I toured Yellowstone Park with my family when I was a youngster and enjoyed its mighty splendor. We camped on our last day under a huge mountain and I slept outside on a picknick table. We left the nest morning and drove to our house in Spokane, WA and then onto the Washington coast for fishing. The day we left was the night of the big earthquake of 1959. Most of the people we met who were camping under the mountain are buried under that pile of rock that was the mountain until the quake. That area is now a lake damned by the rock slide that was a huge sheer mountain face.
I would love to visit it one last time before I get to old to travel.
