The Columbia Sportswear Don’t Panic Room Contest offers outdoor and survival enthusiasts the chance to win a massive, custom-built prize. Sponsored by Columbia Sportswear, this unique judged competition will award one grand prize winner a custom 40-foot x 8-foot shipping container bunker designed to serve as an ultimate survival space.
Entry Details
To participate, individuals must create and submit a short survival video that is five minutes or less in duration. The video submission must showcase the creator’s top survival skills in a fictional scenario where unexpected circumstances have led to an apocalypse-like world.
Submissions are accepted through the online entry form, which awards one entry. Participants can also earn a single bonus entry by sharing their video on Instagram, allowing for a maximum of two total entries per person. This contest is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and living in the contiguous United States or the District of Columbia. The deadline to submit videos is November 24, 2026.
The grand prize winner will receive a custom-built, forty-foot by eight-foot modified shipping container known as the Don’t Panic Room, as well as a cash payment of $35,000 to assist with tax responsibilities associated with the prize. The total estimated retail value of the entire prize package is $135,000.
